Bring your most memorable landscapes home.

The view is better when it’s personal.

A Wild Legacy

Every landscape tells a story, but some landscapes belong specifically to you. Maybe it’s the mountain vista where you first learned to slow down, the golden light of the valley where you spent your childhood summers, or the rugged coastline that has always felt like a second home.

Commissioning a piece of art is a journey—one where your personal vision meets the rugged spirit of the landscapes you explore. I’ve designed this process as an Expedition, ensuring we move from the initial spark of inspiration to the final, finished piece with clarity, intent, and adventure.

Nature is the backdrop of our most important memories—the silent witness to our growth, our reflection, and our rest.

My work is deeply rooted in the wild, but my commissions are rooted in your legacy. When you commission a piece, you are pulling a thread from your own past—a specific trail, a time of day, a particular adventure & memory — and asking for it to be rendered in light and pigment.

By blending your inspiration with the raw, textural spirit of the wilderness I explore, I create a piece that is as unique as your own history.

Begin the Journey . . .

A painting is more than just a piece of art; it’s a memory of a place you love. I use archival materials to ensure your canvas stands the test of time, preserving the beauty of the outdoors for your own personal legacy.

  • Each commission begins with a conversation. I want to understand the 'why' behind your piece—what specific memory or feeling you’re hoping to capture. During our initial consultation, we’ll dive into your inspirations, color palettes, and the architecture of your home to ensure the final painting feels like it belongs. We’ll walk through the details of size, medium, and delivery together, keeping the process transparent and simple. To begin, a 50% deposit is all that’s needed to set the easel and start the journey.

  • We’ll start by reviewing your inspiration photos and a few rough sketches to ensure we’re capturing the exact feeling you’re looking for. You’ll have a chance to provide feedback and refine the vision before I put brush to canvas. Once you love the direction, the real work begins, and I’ll translate that vision into a final, lasting piece.

  • Once the easel is set, the real alchemy begins. I take your inspiration photos and the personal stories we discussed and weave them into every layer of the canvas. I start by priming the surface and mapping out the 'bones' of the landscape—the composition that will hold the weight of the view. From there, I build up the color, letting the light and atmosphere emerge naturally.

When the piece feels complete, I’ll send you a preview for your final thoughts. If there’s a detail that needs a small adjustment, we’ll handle it together. Once I have your final blessing, I’ll professionally varnish and seal the painting, ensuring that this slice of the wild remains protected and vibrant for a lifetime.

  • The final chapter of your painting’s journey is its arrival. Once you’ve given the final approval, I prepare the piece for its new life in your home. I sign the canvas and include a signed Certificate of Authenticity—a promise of the work's origin and intent.

Whether it’s traveling across the country or arriving via hand-delivery, I treat every shipment with the care a rugged landscape deserves. I package it meticulously to ensure it reaches you in flawless condition. You’ll also receive a care card with my favorite tips on lighting and placement, designed to help you preserve the vibrancy of the piece for years. It’s an honor to help you bring a piece of the wild home.

Art that loves the land as much as you do.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • For my custom commissions, I use only gallery-quality canvas to ensure your piece is built to last. I work primarily with oils, acrylics, or a combination of both, carefully selecting the medium that best serves the vision and aesthetic of your painting. To protect your investment, every piece is finished with a professional, archival-quality varnish.

  • While I appreciate the interest, I don’t specialize in portraiture. My work is centered around landscapes and wildlife, as that’s where I feel I can truly bring a client’s vision to life. I prefer to stay within my areas of expertise to ensure every piece I create is up to the standard my clients expect.

  • Completion time typically depends on the size and complexity of your piece. Naturally, smaller or less detailed works have a faster turnaround than larger, more intricate ones. We’ll establish a clear timeline during your initial consultation, and I’ll be sure to keep you updated should that estimate change as your painting progresses.

  • To get started, please head over to my contact page and fill out the inquiry form. It’s super helpful if you have a general idea of the size you’re looking for and a few inspiration photos ready to share. From there, we’ll schedule a quick phone consultation—I’ll also send over a short questionnaire to help me get a better sense of your vision before we chat. By the end of our call, I’ll be able to provide an exact price and a clear timeline for your piece. Whenever you’re ready to move forward, just let me know and I’ll send over the invoice and agreement to get us officially on the calendar!

  • Absolutely! I’d love to keep you in the loop throughout the process. I’ll be checking in with you at each key milestone—the initial consultation, sketch approval, layout stage, and right before shipping. Since I want to make sure you’re thrilled with the final piece, we’ll finalize all major design choices during those early stages. If any significant changes are requested once the painting is nearly complete, we can discuss an additional fee to cover the extra time involved.

  • The investment for custom commissions generally ranges from $350 to $2,000+, depending on the specific size and complexity of the piece. Please note that I have a $350 minimum for all custom projects, ensuring that every painting receives the dedicated time and high-quality materials it deserves.

  • Once we’ve finished our initial consultation and you’re ready to move forward, a 50% deposit is required to kick off the design process. The final balance is then due once the painting is complete and you’ve given your final approval, just before I send your artwork off to its new home.

  • I’m proud to say that I’ve never had this happen! However, I want you to feel completely confident in your purchase. If the final piece isn't quite what you envisioned, you’re welcome to apply your 50% deposit toward any other original painting available in my shop. While the deposit is non-refundable due to the time and materials invested in the custom process, I’m always happy to help you find a piece you truly love.
